My Spaces

I was born in the early 60s and was raised in Beirut, Lebanon. I had lovely loving parents, one sister, plenty of caring extended family and good friends. We all shared great childhood memories of happy social gathering, school festivities and summer holidays by the sea. Also, plenty of fun family & friends picnics exploring the mountain hills and countryside. I was French educated at the Lycée where we studied Arabic, French and English subjects. I did a bachelors degree in Public Relations and then fell head over heals when I met my husband! My plans to be a fully fledge, hard working journalist evaporated in no time! We got married and had my two first kids in my early 20s.

Though we had a closely knit community, family and social life in Lebanon, unfortunately, the civil war forced many out in search for a better life for them and their families elsewhere. We went to London, UK for a while as my husband is British (I too swore allegiance to the Queen after we got married when I took on the British citizenship in 1981).

We moved to Cyprus where both my husband and I worked and raised our growing family with my third daughter born in 1988. Cyprus was a lovely place to enjoy the healthy outdoor, the wonderful Greek hospitality, the warm and caring Greek communities where we were very lucky to raise our young kids and enjoy true friendships all the way:)

We moved to Bahrain in 1991 where my husband Ronald built his career in the Advertising industry. I consolidated my professional experience with various work opportunities, building clients relationships into solid friendly partnerships.

Our children had a well rounded and enriching experiences from well-established schools, and from our numerous travels together at the time (family trips exploring the USA, Far East & Europe). We moved following work transfers to Prague and then Moscow whilst our kids continued on in UK with few years of boarding schools, then university studies and master degrees later on. Now, they all are into full business work & enterprise, well established, constructively productive grown up and happy adults (I hope:)

We are now living in Dubai/UAE since late 2005 when my husband was appointed Regional Managing Director for a major global Advertising Agency here.

I have been very busy with travels and family affairs. More recently, I decided to keep up with my ongoing self-development and took up further academic studies in 2011 with a MSc. HRM & Training in the hope to progress and make a professional move into career talent management and professional mentoring and coaching.

I am currently undertaking my study research dissertation project on 'Women in Business' with a keen focus on 'Barriers & Drivers to Professional Women's Career Progress into Senior & Boardroom Positions in Organisations.' I have been more active lately at rekindling my professional network activities, along constructively progressing and creating opportunities to supporting and assisting other junior ladies in their professional quest to career gender parity and life fulfilment.

This is my life journey so far!...

Still much to do and hopefully more to enrich myself and those around me from family, fellow friends & trusted colleagues; exchanging & extending to many others with constructive and inspiring personal stories, witnessing even greater achievements in the lives of many people I would be fortunate enough to meet along the way...

With my Best Wishes!:)
